Cambodia’s tourism industry is witnessing remarkable resurgence, with international tourist arrivals surging in January 2025 and throughout 2024, following the post-COVID-19 downturn.

According to the Ministry of Tourism’s latest report, Cambodia welcomed 6.7 million foreign visitors in 2024, reflecting a nearly 23% increase from 5.45 million in 2023.

Thailand led as the top source market with 2.14 million visitors, followed by Vietnam (1.34 million) and China (840,000).

The iconic Angkor Archaeological Park in Siem Reap drew over 146,000 international tourists in January 2025, a 26.4% rise year-on-year.

Ticket sales for renowned temples such as Angkor Wat, Bayon, Ta Prohm, and Banteay Srei generated approximately 6.9 million USD, up 25.5% from the same period last year.

To enhance convenience for visitors, Cambodia has rolled out a digital ticketing system for Angkor Park, enabling seamless entry through self-service kiosks.

The Southeast Asian country aims to attract 7.2-7.5 million international tourists in 2025./.
